[China] Jong Hyuk Kim, Head of Ceragem’s factory in Yeon-Gil, to have the honor of carrying the Olympic flame in the Beijing Olympics.
At 2pm of July 16th, Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture in the Yeon-Gil province in China will carry the Olympic flame for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Under the drizzling rain, many people came and cheered as the Olympic flame was being transported to Beijing. Government officials in Yeon-Gil designated Jong Hyuk Kim, Head of Ceragem’s factory in Yeon-Gil, to have the honor of carrying the flame.
Jong-Ro Kim, vice-president of accounting for Ceragem’s corporate office in China, said in an interview with Yanbian TV broadcasting channel “it is such an honor for a foreign firm to have the opportunity to carry the Olympic flame. This will definitely remain as a remarkable event in Ceragem’s history”.
The Yeon-gil province, which is famous for their traditional Jang-Beak-San dance and music, was heavily enervated after transporting the Olympic flame. The Olympic flame, which symbolizes peace, friendship, and hope, will be transported by 188 different people during the Beijing Olympics.
